Belfast (meaning "mouth of the sandbars") is the capital of and the largest city in Northern Ireland, a constituent country of the United Kingdom.

Belfast Botanic Gardens is a public park in Belfast.
Occupying 28 acres of south Belfast, the gardens are popular with office workers, students and tourists. They are located on Stranmillis Road in Belfast's university area, with Queen's University nearby. The Ulster Museum is located at the main entrance. From 2002 to 2006 the Tennents ViTal festival was held in the gardens. Performers included Kings of Leon, Franz Ferdinand, The Coral, The Streets and The White Stripes. In 2006 Snow Patrol, The Raconteurs, Editors and Kaiser Chiefs played at the festival.

Queen's University Belfast is a university in Belfast. The university's official title, is the Queen's University of Belfast. The university was opened in 1849, but has roots going back to 1810.

  1. Belfast to bardzo ładne miasto, ale w zupelnosci rózne architektonicznie od Dublina. Całkowicie inne. W koncu przynalezy do Anglii - szkoda, że Irlndia nie zdołała uzyskac tam niepodległosci... ale IRA zawsze pozostanie legendą.
